Botulinum toxin is injected into the affected Head and neck muscles. It then blocks nerve signals that cause muscle movements, essentially relaxing the muscles and reducing or eliminating fine lines/facial pain.
Treatment effects can be seen starting in as little as two days but typically full results are seen in 7 to 14 days.
Botulinum toxin effects vary from patient to patient but typically last 3 to 6 months with the average patient needing their next treatment at approximately 4 months.
