Micro-needling requires little to no downtime. Used in combination with stem cell treatment can help to boost healing time and combat swelling. Some patients may experience redness, dryness, or swelling for a day or two after their treatment. With micro-needling makeup can be applied 2 days after treatment.

Results may be noticeable as soon as you heal from the treatment, as the redness subsides and fine sloughing of skin resolved. Results become better over a six-month period. During this time your body is producing new collagen.

For optimal results, it is recommended to undergo a series of 3 to 4 treatments with 4 to 6 weeks between each. A maintenance program of one treatment every six months as recommended to maintain results.

Stem Cell Micro-Needling

Stem cell micro-needling with is a cosmetic treatment that stimulates collagen production by rolling fine needles over the skin and applying the patient’s own platelet rich plasma. The platelet rich plasma contains proteins, growth factors including stem cells, and cytokines. These proteins help the skin tissue to repair itself. The addition of stem cells from the blood makes micro-needling more effective by speeding up the healing process and stimulating skin renewal.

Stem cell micro-needling is used to treat:

  • Acne scars
  • Surgical scars
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Sun damage
  • Large pores
  • Uneven skin texture

Side Effects of Microneedling

Recovery from microneedling is usually quick. People may experience some soreness and tenderness immediately after the treatment. The area may also have redness and skin tightness which feels like a sunburn for 24-48 hours. Afterward, the skin may flake.

Other side effects can happen while the skin heals, including:

  • Swelling
  • Milia, which are white papules in the skin
  • A mild flare-up of acne

PDO Threads

PDO threads are made from a dissolvable suture material that breaks down in your body after about 6 months.

The presence of these sutures in your skin triggers cells in your body called fibroblasts to produce more collagen. Collagen is the protein that gives your skin its structure and elasticity. Loss of collagen is one of the main causes of aging skin.

PDO threads can be further divided into three categories:

  • PDO mono threads. Smooth sutures that help rejuvenate your skin by stimulating collagen production.
  • PDO cog threads. These threads have barbs that latch into your skin like small fishhooks, to provide support and lift parts of your face.
  • PDO screw threads. Made up of one or two intertwined threads, these are used to help restore volume to sunken parts of your skin.

PDO thread lifts have a much lower risk of complications than facelift surgeries. Potential complications include:

  • Visible sutures (especially in people with thin skin)
  • Pain
  • Minor bruising
  • Infection
  • Snapping of threads
  • Accumulation of blood (hematoma)
  • Inflammation
  • Dimpling (orange peel-like skin texture)

What areas of the face can PDO threads treat

PDO threads can treat most parts of your face that are experiencing signs of aging. The areas around your cheeks, jaw, neck, and eyes are among the most commonly treated areas.

Because the results of thread lifts aren’t as drastic as the results of facelift surgeries, thread lifts are commonly used together with other anti-aging procedures such as ultherapy or dermal fillers.

PDO thread lift results in immediate improvements in skin sagging after the procedure.

Pricing of PDO Threads

  • Smoothing Thread - $150/5 pack
  • Lifting Thread - $200/thread
